For Cruinniú na Cásca, RTÉ are partnering with Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh, one of Dublin’s premier Irish traditional music teaching organisations, in a ‘Hands-on Trad Music Workshop’ where the public (children and adults) will receive tuition in playing the tin whistle.

The workshop enables members of the public to give playing Irish traditional music a try. No previous playing experience is necessary and instruments are provided. For those who have played before, the workshop is an opportunity to re-engage and rediscover the enjoyment of our rich heritage. 

Experienced teachers from Ceoltóirí Chluain Tarbh will be on hand to help participants learn the basics of playing the tin whistle, in what is hoped will be your first step on the road to being an Irish traditional musician!

Lessons take place at 11am, 12pm, 2pm and 3pm, with open sessions for musicians of all abilities at 1pm and 4pm.
