VALENTIA ISLE FESTIVAL

JULY 10-12TH

AN OTHERWORLDLY BOUTIQUE EVENT IN STAR WARS COUNTRY

Massive Attack’s Daddy G, Norman Jay MBEThe Specials’ Jerry Dammers, Don Letts, Natty Wailer, The Correspondents, R.S.A.G., The Pale, The Frank & Walters, Pikachunes, New Secret Weapon, Young Wonder, Dirty Dubsters, The Hot Sprockets, Warehouse, Circus Du Lolz and legendary Galway street theatre maestros Macnas are amongst the numerous national and international acts performing at this year’s Valentia Isle Festival.

An affordable boutique event taking place in the wilds of South Kerry, and now in its third year, the Valentia Isle Festival is a 72-hour party on the edge of the world – featuring over 80 bands and 60 DJs playing on 5 sheltered stages overlooking the some of the most breathtakingly otherworldly views in Ireland (including the stunning Skellig Islands, where the latest Star Wars movie was filmed).  For one glorious July weekend, ocean breezes, amazing landscapes, clear skies, cool sounds, great vibes, tasty food and lovely people will merge to create an unforgettably magical atmosphere.

From dance, trance and reggae to rock, jazz and trad, there’s a wide and eclectic array of musical acts performing. Not to mention spoken word, theatre, art and performance workshops, circus, live radio (Radiomade.ie), yoga, meditation, well-being, sculpture and the very finest Irish food from Taste Kerry.

Fear not fight fans, the battle of Irelands own Conor McGregor will also be screened live on massive screens in a huge Circus tent.

Offering safe and secure parking and camping facilities, Valentia Isle Festival is one of the only music festivals in Ireland allowing access to accompanied minors (13-17-year-olds). With full weekend camping tickets costing €89, and one-day tickets just €50, the event offers a wonderful opportunity for singles, couples, friends and families to explore, party, rejuvenate the senses, and discover what it means to really live again.
