Deirdre Moynihan Appointed Programmes Manager with Music Network, Kate O’Leary Appointed PR & Marketing Officer

Music Network has announced the appointment of two new staff.

Deirdre Moynihan has been appointed Programmes Manager and Kate O’Leary has been appointed PR & Marketing Officer. Both will be instrumental in the rolling out of Music Network’s Strategic Plan 2014 – 2017.

Deirdre Moynihan
With a history on both sides of the performance platform, Deirdre brings a wealth of experience to the role of Programmes Manager. As both a performer and project curator across a wide range of genres, she has managed many tours and projects within Ireland and abroad. She is an accomplished soprano specialising in Early and Contemporary music and is also the inspiration behind the popular choral website, Choirs Can. As Programmes Manager, Deirdre is responsible for the activities of Music Network’s national touring programme, and associated audience and promoter development initiatives. She also manages artist liaison, artist support schemes and special projects along with building and maintaining relationships with cultural organisations and other stakeholders.

Kate O’Leary
Kate holds a degree in Music from Trinity College Dublin, and has worked at Opera Ireland, formerly Ireland’s largest professional opera company, across box office, sales and marketing. Kate was also part of the press and marketing team at the Abbey Theatre and most recently worked with the 2014 Jameson Dublin International Film Festival as PR Assistant. As PR & Marketing Officer at Music Network, Kate supports the effective and timely delivery of quality PR & Marketing activity for all of Music Network’s programmes across both traditional and digital channels. A keen pianist, she also has extensive teaching experience, having taught piano and singing in Kildare for many years.
