Creative Schools: Education Advisers

The Arts Council is partnering with the Department of Education and Skills and the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs to develop Scoileanna Ildánacha/Creative Schools. 

The Council is currently recruiting for the positions of Primary and Early Childhood Education Adviser; and Post-Primary Education Adviser.These posts are only open to qualified teachers who currently hold a recognised post in a recognised primary or post-primary school, and are fully registered with the Teaching Council. Successful candidates will be contracted on a secondment basis to the Arts Council for an initial fixed period of one school year. The advisers will report to the Creative Schools Project Lead and will form part of the Creative Schools Project Management Team. 

Successful candidates will have experience in delivering or facilitating high quality arts engagement in schools or other education settings. They will have good knowledge of the school curriculum and national education priorities and how these relate to the arts. They will have the capacity to undertake innovative and challenging projects, and have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
