Call for Sound Engineer in Residence

Grainstore, dlr’s youth arts facility, is inviting applications from recent graduates in sound engineering and music production to work on a pilot project. This will take place between September and December 2018 as part of the Music Development Programme 2018. 

The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide technical support to young musicians to record and use equipment
  • Raise the profile of the rehearsal space at the Grainstore over different social media channels in consultation with the Grainstore Manager
  • Manage the studio booking system in consultation with the Grainstore Administrator
  • Ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced
  • Provide feedback and evaluation on how space is being used for young musicians
  • Provide technical support for Grainstore events as required
  • Successful applicants will be Garda Vetted under the National Vetting Bureau (Children and Vulnerable Persons) Act 2013.
