Kicking off the festival on the Thursday evening, Crow Black Chicken bring their greasy blues rock sound to the festival with Cork band Slow Motion Heroes promising to lift the roof off with their reputed powerful live performance. Friday evening sees festival favourites, King Kong Company taking to the stage. The brilliant seven piece Waterford band will be joined by Cork brothersMKAI, who made their debut appearance with an explosive performance at last year’s Electric Picnic.
Selling out venues across the UK, Europe, and the US and their records, both new and classic, continuing to sell across the world, Cork legends, The Frank and Walters play Saturday evening with incendiary, hardcore four piece, Hope is Noise, who celebrate their newly released forth album, ‘Demons’ bringing the festival to a fitting finale.With over twenty Irish breweries set to attend; including every Cork operator, the Irish Malting Company and Irish Distillers, as well as lecturers from UCC, the Great Irish Beer Festival will celebrate the rich tradition and heritage of Irish brewing, highlighting the diversity of modern 21st Century Irish brewing.
For hungry music revellers, the festival will also deliver an unforgettable food experience, pairing great culinary dishes with each brewery attending. It will show off Cork’s international reputation for the culinary arts where unique food experiences are synonymous with the city.  Demos will be running throughout the festival with 5 demos on Thursday, 10 on Friday and 10 on Saturday. The event is open to the public from 5pm-10pm on Thursday and 2pm-10pm on Friday and Saturday. It is a ticketed event with prices ranging between €11 and €15 for day tickets, and €22-€25 for weekend passes. Advance tickets priced from €11 up to €22.50 for a three day weekend ticket are available online at  www.greatirishbeerfestival.ie or Tickets.ie and through Centra, SuperValu & Elverys retail outlets. The first 500 advance ticket purchasers will receive a Complimentary Drink at the Festival!
