Junior Academy Internship, Royal Academy of Music

Part time fixed term: 100 hours
Salary: £8.80 per hour (London Living Wage)

The Royal Academy of Music has a distinguished history and reputation as one of the world’s leading conservatoires. Since 1935, the Junior Academy has been a part of the Royal Academy of Music, offering outstanding weekend tuition to young, talented musicians aged 8-18.

The Junior Academy has a vacancy for an internship (100 hours over 3 months) with effect from November 2014. The hours worked can be specified by the successful candidate. You will be responsible for gathering specific details on Junior Academy alumni and inputting the information into a database in preparation for its 80th anniversary.

You will have a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications, especially Excel, and experience of working with databases. Using your own initiative you must be able to work autonomously and be able to plan and manage your own workload.  Previous experience of researching with a strong interest in classical music would be highly desirable.

This is a development opportunity and is paid at £8.80 per hour. There will also be opportunities to attend the Academy’s free public concerts and events during term time.
