One of Ireland’s most accomplished classical choral groups, The Guinness Choir, has announced the details of its Christmas Concert 2016. Following on from last year’s success, the Choir has decided to, once again, hold an early evening concert in St. Patrick’s Cathedral at 6.30pm on the 4th of December, 2016.

The choir invites the public to take the weight off their tired Christmas shopping feet - to join them for a programme of classical choral music and carols, with a special guest appearance by renowned Irish folk singer-songwriter, Paul Brady.

Directed by David Milne and accompanied by organist David Leigh, the concert will feature the Choral Suite of the Armed Man by Karl Jenkins. The choir will also perform three separate short arrangements of the sacred work: ‘O Magnum Mysterium’ by Victoria, Gabrieli and Lauridsen, along with traditional Christmas Carols (with audience participation welcome).

Choir Director, David Milne’s and Paul Brady’s collaboration will prove that two genres of music can come together beautifully to produce what promises to be an uplifting night of festive cheer.

Tickets are on sale now and are available fromwww.guinnesschoir.org, by emailing: guinnesschoirtickets [at] gmail.com. Telephone: 086 881 8044.
