Position: Audience Development Coordinator (fixed term)

Responsible to: Festivities General Manager and FestivitiesChairman

Remuneration: £19,000 per annum (based on 37.5 hour week)

HOURS30 hours a week; negotiable, but typically 9.30am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday

Job Description: Portsmouth Festivities celebrates arts, culture and heritage in the City of Portsmouth. Every June, we create a 10-day festival with something exciting for everyone. That means all kinds of theatre, music and visual arts. It means exploring past, present and future. What’s more, it means creating opportunities to get involved, with activities for the whole family. Running from Friday 19 to Sunday 28 June 2015, we intend Festivities 2015 to be our best programme so far. The full line-up will be announced at the end of April.

The Audience Development Coordinator will work to support events planned and delivered by the Portsmouth Festivities office.  The Audience Development Coordinator is employed by The Portsmouth Grammar School (PGS) and seconded to the Portsmouth Festivities. 

This is a fixed term appointment (Monday 9 February to Monday 29 June 2015; start date negotiable according to the successful applicant’s current work circumstances).  The Audience Development Coordinator will work 30 hours a week, typically 9.30am – 4.30pm on Monday – Friday with a 30 min paid lunch break. This position may occasionally require working at other times, for which time off in lieu will be given.
