As Business Affairs Executive in the Music Copyright team you will liaise with Content Producers & Music Supervisors on the use of sound recordings and copyright music within BBC’s existing blanket arrangements with the Music Industry, negotiate where appropriate outside of those terms and also negotiate with composers and musicians for newly commissioned scores.

Operationally you will manage the use of all music throughout the duration of any specific allocated project ensuring all music is licensed in line with BBC blanket and any third party investment terms. You will be responsible for training Content Producers in all aspects of music licensing. You will also work closely with commercial executives, legal & business affairs teams and development teams on their business requirements relating to music use in BBC content.
