Dublin Fringe Festival Volunteer Ambassadors

Dublin Fringe Festival Volunteer Ambassadors

Monday, 21 August 2017, 5.00pm

Our Volunteers are well into becoming a National Institution  just like Dublin Fringe Festival itself and their passion and spirit is as relevant and fresh to first time performers, artists, producers and writers as when it first started back 1990’s– their selfless support help the festival showcase the best in new Irish talent and inviting over the most innovative and creative International Acts that TheArts Scene has to offer

For over twenty years Fringe has been bringing the unexpected, the unaccepted, the mesmerising, the totally head scratching, the unheard of and the most mentioned of Spoken Word, Live Art, Spectacle, Comedy, Theatre & Outdoor Nirvana over 16 days in September around Dublin City. Volunteering with Fringe is never a straightforward affair with shifts that can have you stewarding a Brass Band upon a roof top of city centre car park, to minding a horse next to the Luas tracks to corralling audiences into a shipping container for a daylight rave.  One thing for sure is it’s never going to be boring during those two weeks in September

This year sees FRINGE rocking a new ‘frock’ and going in a new direction that will see new, unique and familiar sights about Dublin in Autumn – from a pop up city within in the real city where you can view from near or afar and hear it’s ‘citizens’ stories of moments of change, to FRINGES unofficial mascots returning for their 6th year with the festival taking their legacy full circle and landing on the main stage at The Abbey, do you know who they are? Well you will be the end of September.  And let’s not forget an hallucinogenic culchie (a term given to someone who lives outside of the city urban landscape and at one with the hinterland and wilderness of Irelands countryside) take on Shakespeare, a trashstep-dubpunk morality play from across the water and a continental performance, monologue DJ set from sunnier climes

Along with these appetisers to come volunteer with us we have positions as interns, supervisors, Front of House & Ticketing Volunteers, Admin & Production as well as Outdoor Marshalls & Street Team vacancies.

So why not take a chance and volunteer – you never know it could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship with the Performing Arts in Dublin – #GetYourFringeOn
