Marketing & Event Assistant Internship (6 months)

4 days per week in our city-centre office + onsite at events

Improvised Music Company is looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated candidate who is keen to establish a career in the Irish music and arts scene, specifically within the areas of Marketing and Publicity for the Arts.

This role will also involve elements of Artist Liaison, Box Office management, Front of House, volunteer co-ordination and creative event planning. 

We produce on average 2-3 events per month, and also operate as a resource, supporting the Irish jazz and experimental music scene. 

The intern will support in the pre-production phase of our regular events (marketing and publicity support) and also be required to work on-site at the events where possible.



Your role will include the following;

Digital media and marketing support

Website development and content creation

Database maintenance & update

Artist Liaison / Production Assistant during concerts/events

On-site production/front of house at events

Assistance in creation of design materials

Publicity and promotion

Social Media content creation and strategy

Required:

Evident interest in the Irish music, festivals and arts scene.

A quick- thinking self-starter with the ability to multitask

Some knowledge and interest in digital marketing and social media

Aware of the ‘all-hands on deck’ attitude required for events

Strong interpersonal skills

Self-motivated and keen to learn

Excellent written and spoken English

Advantage:

Knowledge of Photoshop and other design packages

Film or media editing skills

Google Analytics and Digital Marketing know-how

We can be flexible regarding working hours for the right candidate.

A small weekly renumeration is offered to cover travel expenses.
