Assistant Professor in Music Psychology and Musicology

This post offers an exciting opportunity to make a major contribution to the development of the Music Department’s research and teaching. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching in the field of music psychology and musicology.

The Assistant Professor will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of curriculum (lectures, tutorials, seminars, workshops) at UG and PG Level. The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research in their field of expertise and they will be expected to develop connections and interdisciplinary dialogue between the field of expertise and other areas supported by the Department.

The successful candidate will be entitled to apply for research leave and research support in accordance with University and Departmental guidelines. The successful candidate will also be required to follow the Department’s and University’s guidelines on REF2020 preparation, including research income and impact activities. The successful candidate will be line managed by the Head of Department.
