Join American mezzo-soprano Tammy Hensrud and Irish pianist Niall Kinsella for a lunchtime concert celebrating the alluring music of Kurt Weill. Programme will include his well-known songs ‘Speak Low’, ‘September Song’, ‘Youkali’ along with lesser-known gems.

Distinguished American mezzo-soprano Tammy Hensrud has graced the stages of The Metropolitan Opera, New York, Salzburg Festival and the Vienna State Opera, to name a few. This concert explores the songs of German theatre composer Kurt Weill, who had a remarkable evolution throughout his career, which began in Berlin, moved to Paris, and, ultimately, Broadway. Ms. Hensrud has become a noted interpreter of Kurt Weill’s music in the USA, having received critical acclaim for her performances in recital, cabaret and in his opera The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny.
