Fingal County Council Artists' Support Scheme 2018

Fingal County Council is delighted to announce the 2018 Artists' Support Scheme. This strand of funding which has increased by 50% this year, allows professional artists to avail of up to €4,000 of an award towards travel and professional development opportunities, a residency or the development of work. The objective of the Artists’ Support Scheme is to support individual professional artists from Fingal to develop their artistic practise. The award is open to practising artists at all stages in their professional careers working in music, visual art, drama, literature and dance. To be eligible to apply, applicants must have been born, have studied, or currently reside in the Fingal administrative area.

Artists Professional Training & Mentoring Session:
Developing a Creative Proposal

Thurs 8 March (10.00 – 17.00), Malahide Castle Visitors Centre.
Fingal County Council in partnership with Visual Artists Ireland will present a Creative Proposal Writing and Mentoring session for artists working in Visual Art, Music, Dance, Theatre and Literature. The workshop will provide advice on preparing and developing proposals. Mentors include: Annette Moloney – Visual Art; Ian Wilson – Music; Helen Meany - Literature and Ciarán Taylor – Theatre.

Places are prioritised for artists based in or originally from Fingal County. Fee for artists from outside Fingal is €15.
