Felonies

Felonies

Thursday, 2 May 2019, 8.00pm

Formed in 2015, Wicklow-based alt-punks Felonies have striven to define themselves as one of Ireland’s most exciting live acts.

Taking inspiration from the reemergence of distorted garage rock and post-punk, the band combines raw lyricism, harsh musicality and melodic hooks to carve their unique sound.

This has given the band the opportunity to bring their thunderous live-set to some of Ireland’s most infamous venues and festivals, as well as lending support duties to bands such as Fontaines DC, TOUTS, Boy Azooga, Island and Vistas, on top of two consecutive years at Electric Picnic.

Upon the release of their most recent singles, the band received widespread critical acclaim, and radioplay from the likes of BBC Ulster, RTÉ 2FM and 2XM, 8Radio and Dundalk FM (also including a coveted Studio 8 session with Dan Hegarty). With a revamped appearance and sound for 2019, Felonies intend on maintaining their high standard of music and creating a stir in the Irish (and hopefully international) music scene, giving the band the opportunity to bring their high-octane live set to the masses and critics alike.

They are not an act to be missed out on.
