Paul Brady Bursary

Blas is offering bursaries to attend this year’s summer school at the University of Limerick.

In 2010 musician, singer and composer Paul Brady made available a number of bursaries which continued until Blas 2012. A new stream of Paul Brady Scholarships were made available in late Spring 2013 and continue for 2015.

About:

The value of each bursary is with respect to tuition fees only for the 2 weeks of the programme (see below for details **). Travel arrangements and accommodation (if required) are the responsibility of the applicant. Details for the extra costs for the week which include accommodation & food are available on the website on the ‘Accommodation Fees’ page.

This is open for application from candidates who satisfy the criteria set out below. The Conditions of the Scheme are:

- Applicants must be of Irish Residency/hold an Irish passport.

- Payment of the bursary will be made directly to the Blás International Summer School of Irish Traditional Music and Dance.

- Applicants must be age 16 years or over. (If under 18 years, written permission of parent/guardian to attend must be submitted at application stage)

Applications should be made in writing (using the application form) by MONDAY MARCH 30TH 2015 to The Director of the Blas International Summer School, Ernestine Healy.

** please be advised that some bursaries will cover the full tuition fee and some bursaries will be for partial funding toward the tuition fee – this is all at the discretion of the Blas Board
