Laetare Vocal Ensemble was formed in 2014 and is fast developing a profile in Irish choral performance. The choir won the Ireland's Choir of the Year award, the CMC Trophy, and the Schuman-Europe Trophy for the performance of contemporary music at the Cork International Choral Festival 2017, and 2nd prize, the CMC Trophy, and the special award to a conductor at the City of Derry International Choir Festival 2017. Laetare's first CD 'In Circling Flight', features music by Irish composers Rhona Clarke, Seán Doherty and John Buckley, and the choir recently featured on 'West to the Evening Sun', the critically acclaimed début album by singer-songwriter Ailie Blunnie.
