INTERNATIONAL LITERATURE FESTIVAL DUBLIN, 20 - 29 MAY 2017

The International Literature Festival Dublin, founded in 1998, is Ireland’s premier literary event and gathers the finest writers in the world to debate, provoke, delight and enthrall. With readings, discussions, debates, workshops, performances and screenings, the festival creates a hotbed of ideas. Whether it’s the mix poets, writers of fiction and non-fiction, lyricists playwrights and screenwriters, ILFDublin brings new faces and household names together in ways that surprise and inspire. Children’s fiction is well represented and we are spoiled for choice with the caliber of Irish language writers. This year, the event is running from May 20th - May 29th, and it is ran across Dublin City Centre, with some main venues being RDS Concert Hall and Smock Alley.

Each year, the festival takes on a number of volunteers for different tasks, which vary from front of house (collecting tickets in venues and dealing with customers), audience research, hospitality, brochure distribution and other areas. This is where you come in! We are delighted to have so many of you involved each year, as volunteers really are vital and a valued part of the festival. As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to witness inspiring sessions and to meet other great volunteers. You act as the ‘Face of the Festival’, must interact well with the customers and the public, and are treasured cogs in our little machine.
