David Power & Malcolm Proud @ Kilkenny Arts Festival
Among the many extraordinary collaborations to emerge from recent Marble City Sessions, perhaps the most intriguing is that between organist Malcolm Proud and uilleann piper David Power. This eclectic programme, encompassing everything from Kevin Volans’ arrangement of a Zulu children’s song to traditional reels and pieces by Mozart and Bach, offers both musicians a chance to explore uncharted musical territory, opening up whole new vistas of sound.
