Così fan tutte

Così fan tutte

Thursday, 23 November 2017, 7.30pm

What seems a harmless dressing up game ends up driving two young couples to question all they thought about love, truth and marriage. Funny, sexy, charming and updated to the roaring 1920’s, Così fan tutte features some of Mozart’s most sublime and spectacular music, from the vocal fireworks of ‘Come Scoglio’ to the beautiful ‘Soave Sia Il Vento’.

Northern Ireland Opera presents a new production of Mozart’s great comedy of love, temptation and partner-swapping Così fan tutte.

Local favourite Aoife Miskelly (Radamisto, Don Giovanni) stars alongside Australian baritone Samuel Dale Johnson and leading Irish soprano Anna Devin. Northern Ireland Opera regular Nicholas Chalmers returns to conduct the Ulster Orchestra in a production staged by award-winning director Adele Thomas and designer Hannah Clark.

Sung in Italian, with English surtitles.
