Having completed the prestigious BA in Vocal Studies at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, Dublin, where she studied voice with Virginia Kerr and reetiteur Seho Lee, Florence Chong is currently studying coloratura voice production with Yvonne Schiffelers in Maastricht, and with voice coaches Abilgail Laura and Jeremy Hulin.

She has performed nationally and internationally as a recitalist artist. Operatic roles include Clori from Handel’s comic cantata, Clori, Tirsi e Fleno, as well as Moth, from Purcell’s The Fairy Queen, Suor Genovieffa and Suor Dolcina from Puccini’s Suor Angelica. Oratorio performances include Messiah (Handel), Exsultata Jubilate, Vespers, Mass in G Major KV140 and Requiem (Mozart).

Florence will perform a programme of works by Gounod, Donizetti, Bellini, Delibes, Handel and Mozart.
