Head of Undergraduate Programmes
The Royal Northern College of Music seeks to appoint an outstanding and dynamic musician as Head of Undergraduate Programmes to lead the development and delivery of the College’s undergraduate curriculum and programmes.
The successful applicant will be an inspiring and accomplished teacher with substantial experience of music teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and with an ability to act as a supervisor within the College’s growing body of research degree students.
With a proven record of innovative curriculum and programme design, and a broad understanding of quality enhancement processes, particularly as they relate to the conservatoire sector, the post holder will continue to develop the outstanding educational provision recognised in the award of TEF Gold.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an impressive record of research productivity and impact of the highest quality, with a research specialism that is consonant with the work of the College which was ranked highest among the UK conservatoires in the Research Excellence Framework 2014.
Reporting to the Vice-Principal (Academic), and working with the Heads of Principal Study Schools and senior academic colleagues, the successful applicant will play a major contribution in the development of the strategic ambitions of the College in its learning and teaching, and the activity of its artistic offer. The post is supported by deputy and assistant positions.
