This role sits as part of the Publicity, Marketing, Audience Development and Learning team for the BBC Proms and BBC Proms in the Park, providing comprehensive support on all matters of press and media work in the build up to and during the 2018 BBC Proms season.

The successful candidate will ideally have a sound experience of working in a press office environment and a clear understanding of the needs of the press and media. You will have the ability to organise and manage a heavy workload with great attention to detail and work independently and take appropriate action in dealing with enquiries, but not hesitate to consult others in doubt. Good experience of using social media networks in a publicity context is important along with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people. You will be able to cope under pressure and be happy to work on a wide variety of tasks within deadlines. You will have excellent IT skills, with the ability to adapt to new IT systems and in addition to all of the above, you will have an enthusiasm for live music and events.
