PRESENTS THE SNAIL AND THE WHALE

The Irish Chamber Orchestra’s long-established community engagement programme SING OUT WITH STRINGS presents another terrific showcase, THE SNAIL AND THE WHALE.

300 children from Le Cheile N.S and St. Mary’s N.S come together for an unmissable adventure. The Snail and the Whale by Julia Donaldson tells the tale of a tiny snail and a great big humpback whale. Longing to see the world, a tiny snail hitches a lift on the tail of a humpback whale. Together they go on an amazing journey, past icebergs and volcanoes, sharks and penguins. But when the whale is beached in a bay, how does the snail save the day? The children have composed original songs that tell this great tale! Members of the Irish Chamber Orchestra will accompany the children along with renowned rock-guitarist Dave Keary. Come along and enjoy a whale of a tale through music and song!
