Composers at the Bar @ New Music Dublin

Composers at the Bar @ New Music Dublin

Saturday, 3 March 2018, 7.30pm

What drives a person to compose new music? How difficult is the relationship with the blank manuscript page? Who are the composers other composers love, loathe or grudgingly admire? What is the life of a working composer really like? Join New Music Dublin festival director - and composer himself - John Harris, in conversation at the NMD festival bar as he conducts a series of casual and intimate talks with individual composers from this year’s programme. Come along, ask questions, and gain a new insight into the work of some of the most exciting new composers working today.

This event is free, no registration needed, just pop down for a listen!

“I sit down to the piano regularly at nine-o’clock in the morning and Mesdames les Muses have learned to be on time for that rendezvous.” Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky

Hosted By John Harris
