Friday, 12 October 2018, 5.00pm

Since 2010 Sub Sounds has offered a 6-month full music experience to young musicians in South Dublin County. The next round will run from October till April culminating in a performance in The Grand Social music venue in Dublin city and a recording session in Windmill Lane Studios.

Their aim is to develop the musicianship, creativity, and composition skills of young musicians in South Dublin County. They provide group tuition to participants covering the technical and creative aspects of creating and performing music as an ensemble; and individual tuition and practice plans where necessary to help participants develop their technical and musical ability.

Sub Sounds represents a significant opportunity for participants to collaborate with their peers in creating and performing their own music, and to engage with professionals from all areas of the music industry. It is a varied, vibrant and young-person focused programme of music activities.

Sub Sounds is funded by Music Generation South Dublin, and managed and delivered in a partnership between Alternative Entertainments and CONTACT Studio. CONTACT Studio is a South Dublin County Arts Office initiative.
