Creative Scotland, the development body for the arts in Scotland, has announced that it is seeking a Head of Music.

The Head of Music will lead the strategic development of music across Scotland as part of Creative Scotland’s 10-year plan, which was published in 2014. Creative Scotland’s total budget for 2015–16 is £83.4m.

The role requires extensive knowledge of all aspects of music in Scotland, the UK and internationally, from contemporary to classical, plus experience in the creation, production, presentation and promotion of music. Extensive knowledge of the arts and creative industries in Scotland is also specified. 

As well as leading on development, the Head of Music will be responsible for managing a range of funding programmes.

The closing date for applications is Monday 8 February.
