English Folk Expo To Host Artist–Entrepreneur Training Day

Over 40 artists to perform at annual Expo for folk and acoustic music.

The 2018 English Folk Expo will host its first Artist–Entrepreneur Training Day this year on 21 October.

The Expo, which runs from 18 to 21 October, is an industry event for folk, roots and acoustic music featuring showcase performances, networking events and a trade fair. It takes place at the HOME arts centre alongside the Manchester Folk Festival. Over 40 artists will perform at this year’s Expo and Festival, including This Is The Kit, Tunng and Eliza Carthy.

The Artist–Entrepreneur Training Day will be presented in association with the Feature Artists Coalition, a music community advocacy and support group, and will provide a training and information to early career artists.

The day will feature speakers from labels, publishers, promoters and agents, and participants will learn about business management and monetisation, revenue streams, music rights and digital channels.

The deadline for EFEx Delegate registration is noon on Friday 7 September. Delegate places cost £160+VAT.
