Upload Your Music and Compositions to the BBC

'BBC Introducing' now inviting composers and classical musicians to upload work.

BBC Introducing is a way for unsigned and ‘under the radar’ artists to get airplay on national and regional stations across the UK.

Established in 2007, the focus has primarily been on rock and popular acts, but in 2014 it began appealing to world music artists to upload their work for the World on 3 programme, and in 2015 it introduced the feature to Jazz on 3. It has now been broadened out further and In Tune on BBC Radio 3 is asking composers and classical musicians to upload compositions and performances. One of the first artists to be subsequently featured is accordionist Iosif Purits. See his recent performance below.

In order to upload your music, you will first need to register to get a BBC iD. A UK postcode will be required. For full details, visit http://bbc.in/1bnFAGo

In other BBC music news, there is just one day left to submit an application for the BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award 2016. Entrants must be aged between 16 and 21 and based in the UK. The prize includes a session on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show with Mark Radcliffe and slots at three UK festivals.
