In its latest round of funding, Culture Ireland has awarded a total of €194,150 to support performances abroad by Irish musicians, composers and groups.

Among the 59 recipients are Fontaines DC for their UK and European tour, David Keenan for a performance at Glastonbury, Redneck Manifesto for a tour of Japan, the Irish Baroque Orchestra for a concert at the Les Lumières festival in Helsinki, and a Galway 2020 showcase at Milwaukee Irish Fest.

Also supported is a performance of composer Ann Cleare’s Teeth of Light, Tongue of Waves at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles, a performance of Fergal Dowling’s Lange Nacht der Musik in Bremen, a UK and European tour by the Pillow Queens, and a concert by the Fidelio Trio in Turkey.

In January, almost 320k was awarded for concerts of Irish music abroad. The deadline for the next round of funding is 13 June.

Culture Ireland also made awards in the areas of architecture, circus, dance, film, literature, theatre and visual arts. The total amount allocated was €692,000 for 145 projects. For more, visit www.cultureireland.ie.
