Hayes and Cahill's Tour of Intimate Venues

12-date tour begins in Dún Laoghaire on 7 November.

Amid the growing international acclaim for The Gloaming – the group play the Lincoln Center’s White Light Festival in New York this Friday – Martin Hayes and Dennis Cahill are undertaking a 12-date tour of Ireland this November.

It is now seven years since the duet released their last album together, Welcome Here Again. Since then, as well as The Gloaming of which both are members, and among many other projects, they have given world premieres with the Clare Memory Orchestra and RTÉ Concert Orchestra, toured internationally with Masters of Tradition, toured India with Matthew Noone, and Hayes has released three albums with Triúr, but the range of initimate venues Hayes and Cahill have chosen for the upcoming tour will give new audiences a sense of how it all started.

Beginning in the Pavillion in Dún Laoghaire on 7 and 8 November, the duet then tour to Carnegie Arts Centre, Kenmare (10th); St John’s Theatre, Listowel (11th); Cultúrlann Sweeney, Kilkee (12th); Ionad Cultúrtha, Baile Mhuirne (13th); The Inkwell, Cork (14th); The Grainstore, Ballymaloe (15th); Tech Amergin, Waterville (16th); Linenhall Arts Centre, Castlebar (19th); The Hawk’s Well Theatre, Sligo (20th); and Tullamore Rugby Club (21st).
