Rachel Holstead Appointed as Gaeltacht Arts Facilitator for Donegal

Composer previously worked with the Arts Council as Music Adviser.

Composer Rachel Holstead, from Ceann Trá in West Kerry, as been appointed by Ealaín na Gaeltachta as the new Áisitheoir Ealaíon (Arts Facilitator) for the Donegal region.

An established composer, Holstead previously worked with the Arts Council as Music Adviser, and was also on the Board of the National Concert Hall. She is one of three arts facilitators working in the Gaeltacht areas. Muireann Ní Dhroighneáin represents Connacht and County Meath, and Eibhlín de Paor represents Munster. The overseeing Arts Development Executive is Micheál Ó Fearraigh.

Ealaín na Gaeltachta is supported by Údarás na Gaeltachta and the Arts Council.
