The Bad Plus perform The Rite of Spring

American jazz trio the Bad Plus will perform Stravinsky's Rite of Spring in Dublin.

Presented by Note Productions, The Bad Plus will perform their own arrangement of Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring in the National Concert Hall in Dublin, on 26 May at 8pm.

The Bad Plus are a contemporary jazz piano trio who have received acclaim for their eclectic style and their eclectic repertoire, the latter of which includes everything from idiosyncratically angular renditions of popular songs such as ‘Heart of Glass’ and ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’, to dance-accompanied reworkings of Milton Babbitt.

The concert is entitled On Sacred Ground, and features a multimedia presentation developed by New York architect Cristina Guadalupe and filmmaker Noah Hutton in the form of a music video synchronized with the musical performance.

Tickets range from €15 to €30 inclusive, and are sure to sell out fast.
