Ballincollig Winter Music Festival

Ballincollig Winter Music Festival

There has been a late addition to the line-up for this year’s Ballincollig Winter Music Festival taking place in the White Horse on the last weekend of January.

The two duos Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and Brendan Begley, and Paddy and Kevin Glackin will kick things off on Thursday night, 26 January. Tim O’Brien and Arty McGlynn play Friday night; Paul Brady plays Saturday; and Cathy Davey closes the festival on Sunday night (with special guests Jodavino). There’s a wide range of sessions and classes (including Derek Hickey for accordion, Liam Flanagan for fiddle, Aoife Granville for flute and Nell Ní Chronín for sean-nós singing) running throughout the weekend, as well as the late-night Festival Club concerts on Friday and Saturday.

Coincidentally, the first show in the new Geantraí series which was filmed in the White Horse will be on TG4 on the Sunday night, 31 January, hosted by Christy Leahy.
