Bottlenote Festival 2011

Bottlenote Festival 2011

The festival offers a weekend of improvised and new music this year, and features two Berlin-based musicians, trumpeter Tom Arthurs and Roy Carroll on computer, as well as Irish-based members from the roster of the Bottlenote Collective.

The Bottlenote Festival is now in its third year and takes place from 20–22 October at Block T, an alternative art space in Smithfield, Dublin.

The festival offers a weekend of improvised and new music this year, and features two Berlin-based musicians, trumpeter Tom Arthurs and Roy Carroll on computer, as well as Irish-based members from the roster of the Bottlenote Collective. These include Zoid, Djackulate, Shane O’Donovan and Phil McMullen, and festival curators Justin Carroll, Shane Latimer (pictured) and Seán Mac Erlaine.

Each night will consist of three contrasting sets, with varying instrumentation ranging from solo and duo performances with live electronic processing to larger acoustic ensembles.
