The shortlist for the Choice Music Prize’s Irish Album of the Year award for 2010 has been announced. Selected by a panel of eleven representatives of the Irish music media, the shortlist features ten Irish artists or groups. The winner will be selected by the judging panel during a live event at Vicar Street, Dublin on Thursday, 3 March 2011. A prize of €10,000, provided by the Irish Music Rights Organisation (IMRO), will go to the winning act. The full list of nominees is as follows:
