Guitarist Chris Guilfoyle will lead a performance of his own arrangement of Ravel’s Gaspard de la nuit. Originally written for piano, Guilfoyle’s arrangement is for jazz quartet, with ‘scope’ for improvisation.
Featuring alongside Guilfoyle in the concert will be Izumi Kimura on piano, bassist Barry Donohoe and drummer Matt Jacobson. It will take place in the John Field Room of the National Concert Hall in Dublin, on 15 August at 13.05pm.
The concert is part of a jazz-centred series taking place in the John Field Room on Wednesday lunchtimes during August.
Tickets cost €10, and are available here.
