Crash Ensemble at the National Concert Hall

Crash Ensemble's Free State VII, featuring the work of eleven young composers, will take place on 5 April at the National Concert Hall, Dublin.

Crash Ensemble’s ‘Free State’ is an annual concert showcasing the music of young composers. Free State VII will take place on 5 April at the National Concert Hall in Dublin, and features eleven compositions selected by guest curator Andrew Hamilton from over one hundred open-submission entries.

Featured composers are Enda Bates, Emma O’ Halloran, Jonathan Nangle, Garrett Sholdice, Conal Ryan, Irene Buckley, Donal Sarsfield, Daniel McDermott, Eric Skytterholm Egan, Sebastian Adams and Alex Dowling. The Dublin Laptop Orchestra will perform with Crash for Dowling’s piece, Recommended by Dentists.

Free State VII will be recorded for broadcast on Bernard Clarke’s Nova on RTÉ Lyric FM at 9pm on 3 June.
