Singer Barry Gleeson is performing songs from his new album, Tough Night, tonight at An Góilín singing session in the Teacher’s Club, Parnell Square starting at 9.30pm.
Tracks on Tough Night include ‘Moreton Bay’, ‘The Finding of Moses’, ‘Flowery Nolan’s Bride’, ‘The Dublin Washerwoman’, ‘The Colleen Rue’, ‘The Macs and the Os’, ‘The Knight’s Templars Dream’, ‘Tomangoes’, ‘The Fine Ould Irish Gentleman’ and ‘The Curse of Cromwell’.
Coming up at An Góilín in the weeks ahead are Kitty Cassidy and Nan Barron on 15 June, and Rosie Stewart on 22 June.
Meanwhile, An Góilín co-founder Jerry O’Reilly is the guest of the Cork Singers Club on Sunday, 10 June at 9.30pm in An Spailpín Fánach, Cork City.
