The American guitar and drums duo of Steve Gunn and John Truscinski will play at the Joinery, Stoneybatter, Dublin on Thursday, 4 October at 8pm. The pair are said to mix ‘touches of folk, psych, raga and rock into hypnotic pieces that straddle the line between improvisation and songcraft’.
Dublin musician Cian Nugent features on the same night. He’ll play with the Gunn and Truscinski as Desert Heat, a group described as the outcome of ‘a collective trudge across the European and American desert for forty days and forty nights’. Nugent will also perform as Cian Nugent & the Cosmos, with new material developed in the last year.
Also on the bill are Tarracóir II, the duo of Gavin Prior and Diarmuid MacDiarmada; the percussion and electronics duo of David Lacey and Andy Fogarty; and solo percussion from Roro a.k.a. Rogier Smal.
Tickets are €8 with a BYOB policy.
