Musica Nova is Dundalk Institute of Technology’s semesterly series of contemporary music events. The next edition takes place from 30 April to 3 May in the University’s Department of Music and Creative Media.
The programme includes workshops, masterclasses and concerts. Elizabeth Hilliard and David Bremner will lead a composition workshop on 30 April, whilst Rhona Clarke leads a composition masterclass the following day.
‘Mix Tape # 01’, presented by Hilary Mullaney, happens on 2 May, and will be the first concert to make use of the Sonic Arts Studio’s new 8-channel diffusion system. Works by Francisco Lopez, Mullaney and many others feature. Maynooth Guitar Ensemble directed by David Stalling appear on 3 May, in addition to a further workshop and 8-channel concert.
