Niwel Tsumbu Album Release Tour
Irish-based Congolese guitarist Niwel Tsumbu is releasing his third album, S’all Vibration, with an Irish tour beginning on 18 October.
Tsumbu (pictured) and his five-piece band will be bringing a unique blend of Congolese soukous, jazz and world music to performances in Galway, Limerick, Cork, Dublin, Dundalk and County Wicklow.
Tsumbu is the composer, guitarist, singer, arranger and producer of this latest album, which he says is ‘much more upbeat’ than his previous acoustic recordings.
Recorded earlier this year, Tsumbu has since been busy performing with composer Roger Doyle; Liam Ó Maonlaí, as part of the Globe show in Dublin; in the Cosmopolitan Guitar Quartet; in Donal Dineen’s Parish; and as part of the Reich Effect festival in Cork.
