Public Funding Announcement for Music Network Schemes

Music Network welcomes announcement of €200,000 of capital funding from Jimmy Deenihan.

Jimmy Deenihan TD, the Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, has confirmed the allocation of €200,000 of capital funds to two Music Network managed schemes.

The ‘Music Capital Scheme’ provides funding to non-professional and professional performing groups and artists for the purchase of musical instruments and equipment. The funds will ensure its continuation in 2012, with application opening at the end of September.

Love:live music, Ireland’s National Music Day, celebrates musical communities and groups across Ireland, taking place on 21 June each year. The event doubled in size from its 2011 to its 2012 edition, when it included approximately 45,000 participants.
