Quiet Music Ensemble Open Workshop
The Quiet Music Ensemble will host an open workshop at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, from 4.30pm to 10pm on Thursday, 20 September. The workshop is the second stage in the ensemble’s recent call for scores which ‘aims at expanding the repertoire of experimental music in Ireland’.
Music by eight composers — Charlie Sdraulig, Robin Parmer, Francis Heery, Conal Ryan, Andrea Bonino, Alexander Hunter, Rachel Ní Chuinn and Dónal Mac Erlaine — will feature in the workshops, with a view to a concert performance in late 2012. During the workshop, each composer will present their work and rehearse with the ensemble.
Admission is free and members of the public can come and go during the course of the workshop.
