Rhyme, Rant and Rann

Len Graham, Jack Lynch and Theo Dorgan's touring show is a celebration of the place of the kitchen table in Irish culture.

Traditional singer Len Graham, poet and writer Theo Dorgan, and actor and storyteller Jack Lynch, performing together under the title Rhyme, Rant and Rann, will appear in nine venues around Ireland this autumn, beginning on Culture Night (21 September) in Siamsa Tíre in Tralee.

The show celebrates the traditional art forms of poetry, storytelling and singing – and the place of the kitchen table in Irish culture – in an evening of tall tales and wise words. As Dorgan writes, in Ireland ‘We believe in words, we invest in words, we make the world new, over and over, in the gift of words.’ A night around the table with Graham, Dorgan and Lynch ‘is a night where poems and songs and stories are woven together in the magical web of language at its best.’ The trio will be joined by Gary Hastings on traditional flute in Clifden on 27 September.

Rhyme, Rant and Rann is supported by an Arts Council Touring Award.
