This Arts Council-funded tour takes in Cloverfield in County Limerick, Burncourt in Tipperary, Rahanna in Carlow, Ballickmoyler in Laois, Baltinglass in Wicklow, and Milltown in Westmeath.

Artlands, formerly known as Rural Arts Network, is a social enterprise founded by Conor O’Leary, and its Inspiring Trad Community Tour 2012 featuring Tim Edey and Séamus Begley is about to kick off.

West Kerry accordion player and singer Séamus Begley, who has recently joined Téada, here joins BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Musician of the Year 2012, Tim Edey for a series of six Arts Council-funded rural concerts. Starting in Cloverfield in County Limerick on Tuesday, 17 April, the tour continues on each subsequent night to Burncourt in County Tipperary, Rahanna in County Carlow, Ballickmoyler in County Laois, Baltinglass in County Wicklow, ending in Milltown in County Westmeath on Sunday, 22 April. All the events are hosted by local voluntary promoters.

Meanwhile, ahead of this subsidised tour, the pair are also playing in Carrick-on-Suir tomorrow, Friday, 13 April and The Merchant in Dublin on Saturday, 14 April.
