The third of the Improvised Music Company’s Whirligig events takes place at the Cobalt Café, Dublin, on Saturday, 16 July.
This event brings together musicians from four very different backgrounds. The Clare guitarist and songwriter Gerry O’Beirne (pictured) will be joined by the Italian jazz pianist Francesco Turrisi, the kora player Solo Cissokho from Senegal and the Dublin jazz guitarist Shane Latimer.
The event, which takes place in the drawing room of a Georgian house on North Great George’s St, will include free strawberries and ice-cream for audience members.
