Scoil Éigse

The 50th Annual Scoil Éigse organised by  Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann takes place in Wexford town 4th to 9th August 2024. At Scoil Éigse, Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann’s annual international summer school, students of all ages register for the various instrumental music, singing, dancing and Irish language classes.

Draft Traffic Management Plan 4th – 11th of August 2024

  • Red – Town Centre Roads/Streets to be closed from 10am to 4am daily.
  • Wexford Bridge to be closed to private vehicles from 10am to 4am daily.
  • Limited access to Redmond Square for Public Transport & Access to Supermarket.
  • Green Routes/Safe Routes – Routes from Ely Hospital to Wexford General Hospital and the Event Medical Centre at the RNLI at Wexford Bridge.
  • Joseph Street / School Street / John Street to be made one-way between 10am and 3am daily.

Fleadh Traders

Applications for Expression of Interest for traders closed on 19th April 2024. All applications received before the deadline are currently being assessed.  Units considered suitable for the event will be approached with an offer. Offers will be sent no sooner than mid-May.

Gig Rig Applications

Are you interested in performing on the Gig Rig during this year’s Fleadh? Applications are now being accepted by the team. Closing date for applications is Friday the 26th of April 2024.

Please note: By attending this event, photos and digitals will be taken during the event and may be used for marketing and promotional purposes. Photographs/digital footage taken at the event will be shared with Wexford County Council, Fáilte Ireland and Tourism Ireland to promote Wexford and / or Ireland as a tourist destination.
