SOAS University of London, an institution for the study of Asia, Africa and the Middle East and their Diasporas, invites applications for a temporary lectureship in Music, tenable from 1 September 2021 until 31 August 2022.

You will be expected to convene a range of Performance modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This will involve liaising between students and instructors for a range of instruments and genres, convening seminars related to topics in performance studies and industry considerations, and collaborating with professional musicians associated with the university as our resident professors of practice.

You will also offer teaching on team-taught modules relating to ethnomusicology and contribute to the management and administration of the Music department, under the guidance of the Chair of Music.
